Best SUVs Like the Kia Telluride

The Telluride is one of Kia’s newer SUVs, but it’s already a top choice for drivers seeking three-row transportation. Since it comes in the 2020 model year, it’s obsessed with its upscale accommodations and comfortable ride. This medium-size SUV seats up to 8 people and provides impressive cargo room: 21 cubic feet back to the 3rd row, 46 cubic feet behind the 2nd row, and 87 cubic feet with both rear rows folded. Pricing starts at $36,190. Its most notable weakness is its so-called gas mileage.

That’s all forcing, but the Telluride may not be accurate for all shoppers. For example, what if you want roomy transportation that’s more affordable? Or maybe a more efficient option?

In this article, you will find a compilation of 10 vehicles that are capable alternatives. They offer things that Kia’s SUV doesn’t.

Definitely, as a hybrid, it also offers outstanding fuel efficiency. Like the Telluride, it seats up to eight people, but it gets much better gas mileage than the Kia.

While it doesn’t have as much cargo room as the Kia, along with all seats in place, the Highlander Hybrid has more vacant area behind the 2nd row. This Toyota’s 1st- and 2nd-row seats are large, but the 3rd row is tight for adults.

The Highlander Hybrid has attractive standard features, including wireless smartphone integration, blind-spot monitoring, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control.

If you dislike Telluride’s styling, you can feel confident picking the Hyundai Palisade as a substitute. The Palisade is Telluride’s corporate clone, and while they have distinct packaging, they share many of the same strengths.

Its base price of $54,900 makes the Kia EV9 more expensive than the Telluride. However, the EV9 has an effective all-electric powertrain that can introduce significant fuel savings in the long run. The CX-90’s cabin is upgraded but less roomy. The 3-row seats are tight, and the cargo capacity is not up to average.

The Honda Odyssey was declared the Best Minivan for the Money award for 2024. It has seats for up to eight passengers in an upscale cabin. The interior is roomy, and even the three rows give ample space for adults to stretch out.
